The School of Ballet Theatre Company (SBTC) is the official school of Ballet Theatre Company (BTC), offering classes for students ages three to adult, from beginner to advanced levels. Its carefully-constructed curriculum emphasizes strong technique, proper alignment, musicality, and expression. Through a faculty of distinguished professionals, its ballet instructors incorporate the best of the French, Italian, and Russian training methods in a nurturing and supportive classroom environment that fosters the development of young artists.
Whether SBTC's students dance for fun, exercise or dream of becoming professional dancers, SBTC’s curriculum prepares students physically and mentally to embrace their next adventure, cultivating discipline, friendships that will last a lifetime, and an appreciation for the art form.
In addition, the students share a facility with the professional company, enriching each student's experience by allowing them to observe those dancers in classes, rehearsals, and performances. Students are also offered opportunities to perform with the professional company in productions such as Stephanie Dattellas'
The Nutcracker.
SBTC has an open enrollment policy! All new students interested in joining SBTC should fill out our "New Student Inquiry Form". Click the button below. Your information will be sent to the Artistic Staff to determine the appropriate placement/trial class in our program. Please allow 48 hours for our School Administrator to contact you.
>> Join us for our annual Open House scheduled for August 20. To learn more click here.
Throughout the course of the year if you have any questions or concerns regarding your account, tuition, classes, etc, please contact SBTC using the school email address, [email protected]. The email is monitored daily by SBTC’s School Administrator who will be sure to respond within 48 hours. To ensure your email goes to the appropriate person, please refrain from sending any school related matters to the company’s Artistic Director, Rehearsal Director, General Email ([email protected]) or the Professional Production email ([email protected]).
Each SBTC family is required to create an account through its Portal that includes emergency contact information, class enrollments, tuition balances and statements, access to make payments, and more. The SBTC Portal will be utilized throughout the course of the year by SBTC’s School Administrator. It is imperative that when creating your account all contact information is up to date (including email and home address) to ensure that your dancer is receiving SBTC’s informational emails, school newsletters, and end of the year placement letters. Please note that any guardian (grandparent, nanny, etc.) important to your dancer should be added to SBTC’s school email list; especially if that person is involved in drop-off or pick up.
SBTC provides a comprehensive dance education through four distinctive training divisions: The Children’s Division, The Student Division, The Adult Division, and The Junior Corps de Ballet. SBTC strives to meet the needs of each and every student within its wide and varied population. SBTC’s class offerings begin with classes for 3-year-old children and range to classes for adults.
